THE MAIN ROOM
The restaurant lives inside an inspiring 12-foot ceiling open space. The Mississippi-inspired decor creates a casual vibe with a waltz of details to be uncovered. Jordan Mozer + Associates designed the space, and the main points of focus are a colorful mural on the eastern wall and a copper backdrop behind the bar. Both feature characters from Twain’s works. These are deep cuts, not just for fans of Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn. The restaurant sits a total of 80 (locally made) tables.
Inspired by Midwestern rural barn quilts, the bar area features a copper “quilt” full of playful references to Twain narratives as well as memories of the Chef’s experiences growing up in his grandpa’s farm. The Menu and the Service are the same as in the dining room, but it is more casual seating with high tables and stools. It’s perfect for groups and informal gatherings.
